About

I was 9 or 10 years old when I was given my first computer, a free AOL trial floppy disc and a Netscape browser. Now I navigate the internet using mobile devices that fit in my pocket, always connected to rest of the world. Growing up with technology in my everyday life encouraged me to teach others about computers as early as grade school. Problem solving technology came easily to me and I began sharing my solutions with anyone with questions. I became the go-to a/v person, troubleshooting the world all the while teaching the world to carry-on without me.

Today I work at Brown University as an Instructional Technologist. I provide consultations to instructors (faculty, staff, graduate students) to discuss integrating technology into the classroom. From designing and building course websites to piloting iPads in comparative literature courses, I match technology to pedagogical goals. I’ve facilitated international collaborations with universities and organizations in China, India, and Brazil and helped plan annual project showcases on campus. Currently, I am a member of the implementation team to adopt a new learning management system, leading training sessions and participating in working groups for course development and technical integration.
